Harry Draper Wallace (1892-1977) CPE

Harry (or Henry) Draper Wallace was born in Toronto in 1892. He studied engineering at the University of Toronto and attended art classes at the Ontario College of Art with Frederick Haines. Throughout the 1930s, he worked as an illustrator for various magazines such as Canadian Comment, Gossip, Homes and Gardens. While Wallace painted in oils and watercolours, he worked primarily as an etcher, specializing in urban and architectural scenes. He died in Toronto, 1977.
