Collection: Roger-Francois Thepot
Roger-Francois Thepot (1925-2003)
Roger-Francois Thepot was a French-born artist who became known for his geometric abstract paintings. Mostly self-taught, Thepot studied and worked in France in his early career, producing landscapes and ceramics, later shifting his focus solely on painting. Thepot eventually turned to abstraction and began exhibiting both in France and internationally. In 1964, he was awarded a Canada Council Grant. Thepot relocated to Toronto and taught for a number of years at the Ontario College of Art (now OCAD).
