Robert Malaval (1937-1980)

Robert Malaval was born in Nice, France. His art drew influence from his interest in rock music and pop culture. He worked in a variety of mediums including ink, graphics, poetry, and collage. Malaval was known for his outlandish lifestyle and gimmicks, including an obsession with white (only wearing and eating white). Malaval committed suicide in Paris in 1980.
