L.A.C. Panton (1894-1954) RCA, OSA, CPE

Lawrence Arthur Colley Panton was an English-born Canadian painter. He immigrated to Canada at 17 and enlisted in the army during the first world war. After the war, Panton studied art at the Ontario College of Art and also took classes at the Central Technical School in Toronto. His work is held within the Art Gallery of Ontario, the National Gallery of Canada, and the Winnipeg Art Gallery, among other institutions.
