Kenneth Seager (b. 1927)

Kenneth Seager was a Canadian artist active in Toronto. His subjects often included tugboats, churches, and houses around Yorkville, Bleeker Street, and the Jewish market areas of Toronto. “His subjects in the old quarters of Toronto revealed his concern for landmarks, those valuable structures of the city’s older buildings of considerable architectural merit being demolished to make way for modern buildings that looked more like cereal boxes’” (MacDonald, 304). Aside from his oil paintings, Seager also worked in drawing and printmaking.
