Collection: Frederick B. Taylor

Frederick Bourchier Taylor (1906-1987) RCA, CPE

Frederick Bourchier Taylor was born in Ottawa in 1906 to a family strongly connected with Canada’s commerce and military industries; Taylor’s brother was Canadian millionaire E.P. Taylor. Frederick Taylor studied etching at the Goldsmith College of Art in London, England, among various other institutions, and became increasingly interested in depicting industrialism, working class, and the war effort. His interests greatly influenced Taylor’s politics, and he found himself at staunch differences in political views with his family. Around the 1960s Taylor moved to Mexico, where he died by suicide at the age of 88.
