Claude Tousignant (1932 - ) RCA 

Claude Tousignant was born in Montreal. He is considered to be a key figure in the development of geometrical abstraction in Canadian art. Tousignant attended the School of Art and Design at the Montreal Museum of Fine Arts, studying under Arthur Lismer, Louis Archambault, and Jacques de Tonnancour. He is considered to be of the second generation of the Montreal arts movement known as Les Plasticiens. Tousignant's work is held within the collections of the Art Gallery of Ontario, the National Gallery of Canada, and the Montreal Museum of Fine Arts, among other institutions.
