Aleen Aked (1907-2003) OSA

Aleen Aked was an English-born painter who spent the majority of her career in Canada and America. She studied at the Ontario College of Art (now OCAD) along with several members of the Group of Seven, including Arthur Lismer, Fred Varley, and A.Y. Jackson. Aked would spend the winter months in Florida. She exhibited with the Royal Canadian Academy of Artists (RCA). Aked died in Toronto in 2003.
